Week#21 I AM Lorelei my Future Self…

So I begin my Story at the beginning…My Naming Day!

9:00am Saturday June 12th 1965

My Dad was a seaman (I say was, as he has now left the planet on another adventure) and I being his first daughter of course he was going to name me after a Mermaid 🙂

Lorelei

This video below is sung by one of my favorite Australian Artists Mike Seymour from the Band ‘Hunters and Collectors’ with his daughter Hannah…

So what has this all got to do with my future self?

I believe your naming day is a very special time as whom ever names you has a reason, from liking that name, being a family name passed down through the generations, to it having a certain meaning OR memory for them and then later on for you too unless you change it 🙂

From this time forth so many things are going to happen, you are going to learn habits some good, some bad but just about everyone you come into contact with will leave an impression OR habit with you…

Pretty full on and straight out of the gates before you can even speak you will communicate with gestures and sounds, whomever is attending to those needs will respond differently to each, as you begin to grow and understand more, more habits will be introduced, like not touching something HOT as it will burn you in most instances ‘fear’ is used this way, later its the ‘if you do that then this will happen’ guilt is used and so on and so on…Parents do what ever it takes to teach YOU good habits, morals etc.  But they are only working with the knowledge they have and what they were taught and passed down from whichever generation whom taught them to this, sometimes some really bad habits…

So when I take a look at myself NOW and then close my eyes and see myself in the FUTURE are we the same? What is different? What do I have to do to merge into the ME of my future?

#1: Learn some New Skills

#2: Become FRIENDS with my Future Self: chat, enjoy, love, create and just BE.

#3: Ditch everyone else’s habits and then grow and nurture my OWN.

#4: Make some Decisions and take Action

So What Does MY Future Self Look Like?

Bliss-Filled Glowing Orb of Shining Light…

WTF does that mean and what do you do to make that happen?

It means to JUST BE ME! The positive, optimistic,  Joy-Filled Being that I AM spreading my Light!

Greeting each day with LOVE in my Heart. Persisting and Succeeding. Being Nature’s Greatest Miracle. Living Each Day as if it is My Last. Being the Master of My Emotions. Laughing at the World. Acting NOW! Asking and Receiving. Giving and Being In Service…

…And before I know it…I AM my Future Self Living My Dream!

OUR Vices

Our Old Habits and Beliefs…

We are built to cling to life, unless that instinct is withered in us through long suffering, extreme altruism or despair, and so when we read about the deaths of other people, we are moved partly because we start imagining our own: the pain of leaving the people we love, and their confusion at our departure. Or we think of the helplessness of watching someone we love slipping beyond our reach. The notion of death is so mysterious and enormous that, in many cases, it seems easier just to lock it away, although it has a way of escaping and sneaking up on our peripheral vision. By Jenny McCartney

The Mythical Phoenix

My Image of Death is liken to the Phoenix…A story my Dad used to read to me as a child about a glorious bird who had wings of vibrant colour that could fly higher than any other bird who when died would burst into flames and be re-born out of its ashes..How magical is that?

As I grew up from a child into a kidult, I then likened the phoenix to a way of ridding oneself of anything I did not want in my life anymore, I would preform Phoenix Fire Rituals I would do this in different ways…by writing all I wanted gone on the sides of a candle then lighting the candle and burning it till it was all melted, by writing on pieces of paper all my fears, worries anything I wanted to transmute into the positive and throw them into a fire…I would then see them in my mind reforming into the positive I wanted to manifest. Then now as an adult I am able to visualize myself bursting into flames and being re-born, re-invented ready to begin a new day…I am grateful to my Dad for introducing this Wonder-filled bird into my live so young R.I.P Daddy xxx

The Death Ritual…

…how it is performed in so many different ways in different countries, below in this picture is the celebration of the ‘Day of the Dead’ in Spanish…”DĂa de Muertos”  It is a time when families get together at the burial sites of ancestors passed to pray, remember and celebrate their lives and to support their spiritual journey…

Death-Ritual-1

One of my favorite authors Paulo Coelho writes a whole chapter on the Death Ritual in the Pilgrimage This is one book I make sure I re-read every year

“Still, being fragile creatures, humans always try to hide from themselves the certainty that they will die. They do not see that it is death itself that motivates them to do the best things in their lives. They are afraid to step into the dark, afraid of the unknown, and their only way of conquering that fear is to ignore the fact that their days are numbered. They do not see that with an awareness of death, they would be able to be even more daring, to go much further in their daily conquests, because then they would have nothing to lose- for death itself is inevitable.”
― Paulo Coelho The Pilgrimage

“Death is our constant companion, and it is death that gives each person’s life its true meaning.”

OUR Virtues

We are our own Hero’s and we will overcome any obstacles (dragons) that get in our way to achieve what ever we want in our lives…

and then there is Og Mandino…Scroll V

“I live this day as if it is my last. And what shall I do with this last precious day which remains in my keeping? First I will seal up the container of life so that not one drop spills itself upon the sand. I will waste not a moment mourning yesterdays misfortunes, yesterdays defeats, yesterdays aches of the heart, for why should I through good after bad?….”

To finish with a song…Die trying

YES we will Die Trying because we want to ‘Live Our Dream’ and Death is just another step into that journey…

Week#8 The FLIP with LOVE

MarkJ said ‘flip an 8 on it’s side and you get the infinity sign’

Well I say ‘then add the words LOVE’

Then you get LOVE infinitum!

Week#8 is for me all about getting it all done, making the connections with the shapes, colours, POA cards, DMP charged with feelings and emotions, the MOVIE Board, ‘giving and receiving’, the 7 laws of the mind, being the always ready ‘watch keeper’ at the gate to my mind with the mental diet, living by my newly acquired  compass (Thanks SherryB),  ‘uplifting my mind with the knowledge and wisdom of the ages’, ‘feeding my soul with meditation and prayer’ (Thanks Og Mandino), the readings, the gal in glass, then tying it all together with movement and music WOW how does it get any better than this?

Well it can and does with LOVE!

The magic ingredient is LOVE sprinkle it, splash it, dose it, drown it all in LOVE 🙂

Like my favorite poet Rumi says…

Love-is-the-bridge

I believe the most powerful thing within us all is LOVE

So go within FEEL your LOVE and SHARE it with everyone you come into contact with…

Og Mandino said it “silently say I Love You” let it shine in your eyes, un-wrinkle your brow and bring a smile to your lips and an echo in your voice.

‘I LIVE THIS DAY AND EVERYDAY WITH LOVE IN MY HEART’

I always keep my promises…lorelei sunshine
